shell is washed up onto the beach.
There,
the powerful waves tumble them,
breaking
them into pieces. The iridescent glow
from
the sand is irresistible - there is nothing so mesmerizing
as
the ‘secret rainbows on the domes of deep-sea shells’
of
the Northern California Coast.
We gather these precious gems from the seashore ourselves,
and, after lovingly handcrafting different shapes,
beveling some edges for a faceted ‘gem like’ appearance,
then grinding and polishing each unique piece to a rich luster,
we finish them with a doming resin for increased strength and shine, then- bring them straight to you.
This ‘wearable art’ - natural, organic and self-sustaining –
enhances everyone’s own natural coloring and matches any
garment.
